Koru Mindfulness Teacher
Linda O'Connell
Linda A. O'Connell is a retired family lawyer and certified mediator. She is a certified Koru Mindfulness teacher who offers classes and workshops and one to one meditation sessions. Linda also runs an online biweekly meditation sangha.
After a close encounter with cancer, Linda began practicing and studying mindfulness formally with the goal of sharing her very positive experience with others. Linda began her training at The Copper Institute, teacher Byran Cadel. Linda then embarked on the 8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program at UMASS Memorial, Center for Mindfulness, with Brenda Fingold.
Linda's inspiration is Thich Nhat Hanh who said, "It is my conviction that there is no way to peace - peace is the way." Linda agrees and tries to embody her belief that peace is not external, to be chased after. Instead "peace is already present in each step". Thich Nhat Hanh, Peace is Every Step. Linda's passion is to spread mindfulness as a way to achieve peace, individually and globally.
Linda lives in Massachusetts with her husband John. They have three adult children and two grandchildren. In her free time, Linda enjoys traveling around the country in her RV (with ebikes on the back) and playing with her grandkids, Hannah and Jack.
