Koru Mindfulness Teacher
Shannon Reinard Demko
Shannon Reinard Demko is a coach, writer, yoga instructor and meditation leader. She is the founder of MindfulMBA, which makes mindfulness accessible and applicable to the everyday lives of busy people who think they “don’t have any time for it.”
As a coach, Shannon works with high-achieving professionals in the midst of transformation in their careers and their lives. She uses mindfulness to both ground and empower her clients along their journey to discover their true purpose, and harness their personal sources of strength to achieve their goals and dreams.
Shannon’s background includes extensive experience working with business school applicants, students and alumni, and she currently serves as senior program director and admissions coach for a diversity non-profit based in Washington, DC, where she lived for many years.
Shannon found mindfulness through her personal yoga practice, but began to see its relevance to her work in the business world during her additional graduate training in health promotion management. She received certification through the Center for Koru Mindfulness, and is a registered advanced yoga teacher (RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance. She is also a certified Somatic Stress Release and Y12SR yoga instructor. Her goal is to make mindfulness accessible to everyone through its ability to not only alleviate stress, but also enhance focus, creativity, decision-making abilities, and compassion for ourselves and others.
Shannon holds a Bachelors degree from Georgetown University and a Masters degree from the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania, with coursework at the Wharton School of Business. She lives in Atlanta, where she teaches yoga and meditation in-studio and online and tries to keep up with her young daughter.
